12 1/2 Antique 19th c English Staffordshire Porcelain Dog Green Copper Lustre. Iridescent green, copper and pink color. He has air vent in the back for pressure relief during ceramic process. Marked with "X" on bottom. The glaze looks hand applied and is rough. There is some crazing, surface glaze cracking, in the white of the glaze. Pair 12 1/2 Antique 19th c English Staffordshire Porcelain Dogs Spaniels Copper. Each approximately 11 1/2" x 4" x 12 1/2 h, one is slightly larger than the other. Very nice antique condition with crazing and a few small chips at the foot of each. Finish wear and any other issues are consistent with age and use. One has quite a bit of crazing with a small opening along one of the lines. The other figure has very little crazing. The painted and metallic copper finishes are in very good condition. The most significant chip occurs on the reverse of the figure shown on the right. ...

An interesting set of antique Staffordshire, copper lustreware. It comprises of a large jug, two small cream jugs and a small mug, it is nice to see the pieces together. They all have the same cobalt blue background with copper lustre rims and handles, the mug is plain banded and the three jugs are decorated with primitive Staffordshire leaping stags. The handle of the large jug is modelled as an outstretched tiger. They all have a subtle pink lustre rim internally. A very nice set of 4, great for the collector or some festive season hosting.
