A Very Rare Pair of Victorian Copper and Brass 3 Gallon Water Urns. An ornately shaped matching pair of 19th Century Copper andBrass 3 gallon water urns. They have brass taps with nicely shaped ebonised woodenhandles. They are both in good condition considering their age andmust have seen a lot use over the years, but as with anything of this age theydo show signs of wear and use. One of the urns shows signs of damage/repair onthe top, looks like it has been dented and the hammered out so does lookuneven, the same urn leaks from the top of where the tap casing joins the urn.

Large antique hammered copper saucepan dating from the late 19th Century. Stamped with the makers' mark (Moresi & Lucca Coppersmiths, 58 Neal St, London), Savoy Court and later SGR, 1 & 6 - this piece was salvaged from a London refinishing company over 30 years ago, and has not seen the light of day since. This particular pan is believed to date from the very first days of the Savoy Hotel, circa 1890.

Judging from the serial number, one assumes this to be a fairly early mould by these well-known makers. Heavy Rectangular Early Victorian Cake or Jelly Mould w Hollow Interior. No makers mark as is normal with mould of the late Georgian and early Victorian period but very collectable because of its unusual shape.
A rare and unusual example which was clearly designed so that fruit or hors d'vres could be displayed in the hollow rectangular centre of the finished moulded dish. The copper has a nice tone and it has not been too heavily cleaned. The tinned interior shows the usual age- and use-related discolouration.

This fabulously rare item was an estate find. It was used under the seat to warm the seat (and anyone who sat on the seat) in an victorian coach during its horse-drawn journey. Sometimes, a small lap warmer and a muff warmer or hand warmer were also used.
But this BIG Behemoth of a warmer is a truly beautiful lozenge shape. It has two heavy brass handles and a brass screw threaded stopper, which move freely.
