   I'm sure there is someone out there that know exactly what these are but I recently bought out a large collection of Victorian era lamp shades, globes and street light pieces an parts. The outside of there home had several Victorian cast iron street light and poles still in use today. Each weighs 10 1/2 lbs each. Each has a hinged access door that opens and closes.   A pair of Victorian old Gas Street lanterns / lamps with ladder bar, converted to electric in the 1950's.. (they look to have been manufactured by Avil).    A pair of 19th century Victorian period silver plate over copper candlesticks. They are of telescoping form with approx 5cm lift. The bases have a cast band of decorative detail and the bases are loaded and felt covered. There is a mark inside one of the sconces possibly'VV' or'W'.
